. (So, apologies for no Narrative or Briefing this week. Let me see if I can set the stage for us here.
. The Away Team is on the Canteen chasing after a Nausicaan ship that left the Tankard under suspicious circumstances.
. The Cerberus is following it as well, but the Canteen can't see it.
. The Penumbra went a slightly different direction and has to undergo some recalibration before going to warp again due to the gravimetric distortions from the unstable star throwing our warp field generator out of alignment.
. The unstable star isn't exploding yet, and might not do so for years, or it could decide to go in the next five minutes, who knows? But, when it starts, it won't "blow up" into a supernova, it's not that big or dense. Instead it'll slowly swell into a red giant. It'll still destroy the station, but not with a huge shockwave.
. Our patched-together MIRAGE just needs to reboot. They were just knocked out by the EMP, not fried. So, we can get it back up to where it was at around 60-70% reliable. Anything beyond that will require we stay parked for at least an hour, maybe more, for teams to work outside the hull.
. And the concept of the powerful rotating shields is still just in the concept stage. We haven't figured out how to generate that kind of power, or how to reduce the power demands. That's gonna be a huge problem for you guys in the Dungeon.)
